Organization Effectiveness Coaching:
Mentoring for Culture Change Organization Effectiveness Coaching is distinguished from personal coaching because of its heavy emphasis on organizational change. Especially vital in culture change environments, Organization Effectiveness Coaching provides the hands-on mentoring, coaching, advice, and best-practice strategies that help senior leaders build and sustain highly efficient and productive organizations. In this role, a WBW Executive Coaching and Consulting specialist works closely with a senior leader to support his or her efforts to build the organization; increase performance; and develop new ways of working, thinking, and achieving organizational goals. The following are some examples: We serve as a confidential private thought-partner in the planning of upcoming conversations and meetings, reviewing meeting objectives and outcomes, relationships with participants and how to build them, key communication messages and priorities. We will also give advice on specific content (e.g., agenda and material preparation for topics to be covered with the Team such as change management considerations and recommendations, actions for improving communications and building relationships with key stakeholders. From our experience working with many organizations during transitions, we introduce you to tools, techniques and practices that we have found to be effective in high performing organizations. We will sit in on key meetings, providing advice as appropriate during the meetings, also bringing insights from meetings to discuss afterwards (e.g., advice on group dynamics, influencing and building specific relationships, lessons learned to be applied to future meetings, identification of high-priority follow-up actions to take with participants and other stakeholders, ideas about materials to develop for future conversations). We will give suggestions on an ongoing basis about specific actions you can take, transcending the detail and looking from a high level at priorities, key "levers" that will best impact results, creating a flexible, focused "roadmap for change." Based upon a view of inter-group dynamics, we provide advice to clarify accountabilities, interrelationships of accountabilities, decision-making processes (e.g., interplay between leaders, design teams, advisory groups). As your team develops, we advise other key leaders in clarifying and carrying out their roles to achieve established objectives. We assess individual strengths and development needs against competency requirements for the purpose of individual coaching and development. We recommend ways to improve group and inter-group effectiveness, coaching your team as a whole in building its skills and capabilities to be a "high performing team." When appropriate, we serve as an objective communications and data-gathering "liaison" by meeting with key players to gather information, provide advice, and support them in carrying out their work according to identified expected outcomes and agreed-upon plans. |
