Team & Individual Coaching — TIDE
Team and Individual Coaching (TIDE) through WBW & Associates, LLC is designed to help groups as well as individuals work at peak effectiveness. The approach is highly customized to the needs of the group and its members. Such factors as the stage of group development (e.g., start-up versus a well-established team), group structure, and existing issues and conflicts may be addressed. Coaching for a group often involves addressing the following:
Work with groups also involves providing insights regarding the dynamics of teams and the major elements of highly effective teams. Coaching for individuals is strictly confidential between the coach and the individual. Individual coaching includes, but is not limited to, addressing the following:
Success with TIDE requires that participants approach the process with a spirit of openness, candor, and self-disclosure. TIDE Process of Engagement Stage I TIDE typically starts with interviews of each member about their experiences with the group. Individuals are asked what they would like to gain from the group and from coaching. This is often a telephone interview lasting up to two hours. Results of the individual interviews remain anonymous. Common trends are summarized and shared with the entire group. Stage II Individuals are asked to complete questionnaires, one of which may inquire about their personal work styles. Stage III The TIDE coach meets with the group to facilitate discussion regarding the results from stages I & II. The design of this meeting is tailored to the results of those stages. Individuals’ needs and wishes, as elicited from the interviews and questionnaire(s), are carefully incorporated. Stage IV Individuals within the group receive a private session(s) with the coach either by phone or in person. (Stages III and IV may be reversed.) Stage VI Ongoing work with the group and individuals is provided as needed. TIDE Fees Consulting fees are billed at an hourly rate and include preparation, interview time, facilitation, coaching, and analysis and interpretation of questionnaires. |
